Hey there, Kevin again, writing today to showcase one of our favorite items, the Custom Automated Products 150-Watt High-Pressure-Sodium Mini Sun Light.

     This little light is pretty slick, it's a ballast and reflector in one simple unit. The reflector is powder coated on the outside, and the interior features the same Alumabrite insert that is found in C.A.P.'s larger reflectors, which disperses the light really well, eliminating hot-spots in your garden.

    The ballast is a 150 watt magnetic high pressure sodium, which fires the included bulb. This little workhorse pumps out 16,500 lumens in the red-orange spectrum, and will effectively cover a 1.5 by 1.5 foot area. It comes with an eight foot grounded power cord as well as A-hooks to hang the light from a chain or light lifts.

    I used one of these babies to start a bunch of seedlings this spring, and it worked great. It gets warm enough to boost temps for a warmer micro-climate, without getting too hot. This light will work great in small tents where heat output of your lights is a major concern. Because of the low heat output, you can keep the light closer to the canopy, effectively eliminating the legginess that typically occurs when vegging under HPS lighting.
