The General Hydroponics Dual Diaphragm air pump is extremely quiet and the only air pump in the world manufactured exclusively for hydroponics systems. This high output pump has four adjustable 1/4" outputs that can be teed off to power up to twelve air driven hydroponics growing systems such as the WaterFarm. Poor noise-to-air ratio

Got this to help prevent clogging of a flexible diffuser in a single, multi-site planter--by bringing more pressure to bear than an ordinary single-valve pump. It did succeed in that. However, overall, I am not at all impressed with the volume of air this puts out, considering how noisy the motor is. Easily audible from the next room--something to keep in mind. Also, this ships without any spares or useful instructions.
